M.Sc. Microbiology
IDEAL Degree College for Women introduced M.Sc Microbiology Course in the Year - 2023 with the intake of 40 seats. The Department of Microbiology has well equipped infrastructure with the facilities required for students. Microbiology is a branch of science that deals with Microorganisms that include bacteria, viruses, fungus, algae, and protozoa. The curriculum frequently combines practical instruction in data analysis, laboratory procedures, and research approaches with theoretical understanding. Students can apply their knowledge to practical situations and obtain practical experience by participating in research projects, internships, or industry placements.
M.Sc. Microbiology course includes :
Microbiological genetics, Immunology, Virology, Medical
microbiology, Environmental microbiology, and Industrial
microbiology.
Microbiology is a vast field that covers many facets of industry, research, and healthcare. . The field of microbiology is becoming more and more diverse, opening up new opportunities for research and innovation as a result of the growing significance of microbial science in tackling issues like food security, environmental degradation, and infectious illnesses. It has greatly impacted many facets of human existence, and is considered extremely important. To provide competent workers with the knowledge and abilities needed to address global issues pertaining to food security, environmental sustainability, microbial diseases, and biotechnological innovation, increases the field of microbiology. The Department aims to foster the students a desire to learn more about the discipline of microbiology and have a positive impact on its rapidly growing field.
Our goal is to establish a conducive learning environment and equip students with the necessary skills for success in the classroom, at the workplace, and in their daily lives.
They can also apply for various Government recruitment exams.

There will be 4 internal examinations during the semester
as per the schedule of Osmania University. At the end of
each semester, final external examination will be conducted
by Osmania University
