Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at IDEAL

At IDEAL College for Women, the Placement Cell stands as a IDEAL College for Women established its Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in 2022 under the leadership of the Head of the Institution. The formation of this cell is in accordance with the guidelines of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), aimed at promoting a culture of continuous quality enhancement within the institution.

Objective of IQAC

The primary objective of the IQAC is to monitor and enhance the overall quality standards across all academic and administrative functions of the college. It ensures that institutional practices align with the quality benchmarks prescribed by international quality agencies, the University, and other relevant regulatory, statutory, and accreditation bodies. The IQAC acts as a catalyst for systematic and consistent improvement in the institution’s performance.

Quality Initiatives of IQAC

The IQAC of IDEAL College for Women has been actively involved in designing, implementing, and monitoring various quality-centric initiatives to ensure academic excellence and institutional effectiveness. Key initiatives include:

  • Development and implementation of quality benchmarks for both academic and administrative activities.
  • Establishing clear parameters to evaluate the performance and outcomes of various institutional functions.
  • Creating and sustaining a learner-centric environment that supports quality education, fosters innovation, and encourages faculty development to adopt modern teaching methodologies and technology.
  • Systematic collection and analysis of feedback from students, faculty, alumni, parents, and other stakeholders on institutional processes and services.
  • Organizing intra and inter-institutional workshops, seminars, and awareness programs on quality assurance, teaching-learning practices, and professional growth.
  • Documentation of institutional programs and initiatives that contribute to quality improvement and institutional development.
  • Functioning as a nodal agency for coordinating and promoting quality-related activities, including the identification and dissemination of best practices.
  • Developing and maintaining an institutional database through a Management Information System (MIS) for effective decision-making and quality assurance.
  • Conducting periodic academic and administrative audits to assess the efficiency of various institutional processes and ensure timely follow-up actions for continual improvement.
