Commerce Club (ACE Club) at IDEAL

At IDEAL Degree College for Women, we believe that true education extends beyond classroom walls. In today’s rapidly evolving corporate environment, it is essential for commerce students to complement their theoretical knowledge with practical exposure and real-world experiences.

To fulfill this need, the Commerce Club — ACE Club was established on 18th November 2006. Since its inception, the club has been committed to enriching and empowering students with not only academic and technical excellence but also vital soft skills, leadership qualities, and business acumen needed to thrive in the competitive corporate world.

Vision

The Commerce Club (ACE Club) envisions creating a vibrant, dynamic, and inclusive environment that encourages students to develop leadership qualities, business skills, and a global outlook. The club aspires to be a recognized platform for nurturing young women leaders who can make meaningful contributions to society and the business world.

Mission

The mission of the ACE Club is to cultivate a community of confident, capable, and socially responsible commerce graduates who are well-prepared to navigate the complexities of modern business environments. The club strives to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical application by offering diverse platforms for students to explore, experiment, and excel.

Objectives

  • To expose students to real-time business challenges and equip them with skills to address them effectively.
  • To provide opportunities for students to interact with business leaders, industry experts and entrepreneurs.
  • To nurture leadership abilities and event management skills through student-led activities and programs.
  • To instill confidence, effective communication, and a proactive, problem-solving approach among students.
  • To enhance awareness about emerging trends, market innovations and professional opportunities in the field of commerce.
  • To foster a spirit of teamwork, creativity and entrepreneurial thinking.

Activities of the Club

The ACE Club organizes a wide array of events and programs throughout the academic year, aimed at fostering academic excellence, personality development, and career readiness:

  • Business Quizzes: Enhancing students' awareness of current business affairs and market trends.
  • Group Discussions: Promoting critical thinking, analytical reasoning and effective communication.
  • PowerPoint Presentations: Providing students with opportunities to research and present on contemporary business topics.
  • Guest Lectures: Inviting industry professionals and business leaders to share their knowledge and experiences.
  • Industrial Visits: Offering firsthand exposure to operational, production, and managerial processes in various industries.
  • Debates: Sharpening reasoning, public speaking, and argumentation skills.
  • JAM (Just a Minute) Sessions: Encouraging quick thinking, spontaneity, and clarity in speech.
  • Skill-based Competitions: Enhancing communication, leadership, event management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Workshops & Seminars: Focusing on personality development, career planning, and leadership skills.
  • Entrepreneurial Awareness Sessions: Motivating students to consider start-ups and self-employment as viable career options.
  • E-Commerce and Digital Literacy Programs: Educating students about online business platforms, digital marketing, and emerging financial technologies.
